AI agents’ characteristics can reinforce stereotypes as much as any fictional character can.

• Financial planning AI bot as a male
• Recipe bot as a woman
• Cleaning advice bot as a minority

All of these reinforce stereotypes in situations where they could easily have been challenged and diluted.
